Gary Neville has said on Sky Sports Premier League (7:11pm, May 10, 2021) that Manchester United could get good money for Daniel James if they decide to sell the Leeds United-linked winger.
The former United defender believes that if the Red Devils decide to cash in on James in the summer transfer window, then they could make good money.
Neville said on Sky Sports Premier League (7:11pm, May 10, 2021): “I think they can get good money for Daniel James, but again, I think he maybe could go somewhere else and they could get good money for him.”
Leeds United links
The 23-year-old has long been linked with a move to Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds.
James was close to joining Leeds from Swansea City in January 2019, as shown in the Amazon documentary ‘Take Us Home’ about the Whites’ 2018-19 season and reported in The Daily Mail.
The Manchester Evening News reported in September 2020 that Leeds head coach Bielsa wanted to sign the youngster last summer.
The Daily Star claimed in December 2020 that Leeds were interested in bringing the Wales international to Elland Road in January 2021.
Could a Leeds United transfer happen this summer?
The Scottish Sun reported last month that Leeds want to sign former Liverpool winger Ryan Kent from Rangers in the summer transfer window.
It suggests that Bielsa wants to sign a winger this summer despite having Raphinha, Rodrigo, Jack Harrison (on loan from Manchester City) and Helder Costa at his disposal.

Rangers have just won the Scottish Premiership title this season and could play in the Champions League in 2021-22, and manager Steven Gerrard may not want to sell Kent.
That could lead Bielsa to turn his attention to James again, especially as Leeds were reportedly interested in the Welshman just a few months ago.
James has not had the best of times at United, although it must be noted that the 23-year-old is injured at the moment.
Moreover, United may not want to sell James. After all, the Red Devils are not exactly a club who desperately need money.
The 23-year-old himself may not want to leave a United team who are going to finish second in the Premier League and could also win the Europa League this season.
However, transfer windows are notoriously difficult to predict. Anything is possible.
