Speaking on The Overlap, Gary Neville has claimed that Arsenal could have a good season if Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang keeps up his form.
The Gabonese forward was off the boil for large periods of lasts season. He struggled to break double figures for goals in the Premier League and his confidence looked shot.
However, in recent weeks he’s looked a lot better. He scored a fantastic goal against Tottenham and he’s been working harder than ever on the pitch.
Neville believes that if Aubameyang can play like he did against Tottenham every week then Arsenal have a chance of having a good season.
What’s been said?
Neville gave his view on Arsenal.
“I saw the team against Tottenham, I watched that and before the game when the team came out I was more comfortable. They’re more balanced, there’s no doubt Smith Rowe and Saka bring unbelievable energy and pace to the team. If they can get Aubameyang into that mood he was in that day every single week they have a chance of having a good season,” Neville said.

Key player
Goals win you games and Aubameyang is the closest thing Arsenal have to a guaranteed goalscorer.
Yes, he’s not been at the races over the past 12 months or so, but he’s a former Premier League Golden Boot winner and he’s good for 30 goals a season if he’s firing on all cylinders.
Arsenal certainly have the quality around Aubameyang, with the likes of Smith Rowe, Saka and Martin Odegaard, but they still need that man to put the ball in the net.
Neville is right, if Aubameyang plays well Arsenal could have a good campaign.
