Gary Neville has joked that he is happy that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been listening to his opinions on Twitter.

Klopp poked fun at Neville in an interview with the BBC, when he said: “I didn’t learn a lot during lockdown except Gary Neville has an opinion on absolutely everything!”

“It’s incredible! So no, I didn’t learn a lot but I have known myself for 52 years.”

And Neville found the funny side of the Liverpool boss’s comments about him.

Neville has been on television regularly over the lockdown, as a pundit on Sky Sports’ The Football Show, which is broadcast every morning at 9am.

Klopp may not be able to tune in to the programme for too much longer, as Liverpool will be stepping up their preparations for the new campaign soon.

The Premier League is due to return in June, with sides set to begin training in the near future.

Liverpool will be looking to secure their title as quickly as possible when the action does return, with the Reds just two wins away from mathematically sealing their position at the top of the table.
