Gary Neville has given his take on the proposed Newcastle United takeover on Twitter and has also responded to well-known journalist Miguel Delaney.
A Newcastle fan has asked the former Manchester United star on Twitter about his opinion on the takeover of the Magpies.
According to Goal.com, Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund are set to buy the Magpies from current owner Mike Ashley.
Well-known journalist and Chief Football Writer at The Independent, Delaney – who has been critical of the prospective new owners of Newcastle – has responded to Neville’s initial reply, and the former England international has responded to him as well.
Looking ahead
If the Newcastle takeover does go through, then the fans will be entering a new era, one they will hope will be much better than the one under Ashley.
While Newcastle are an established Premier League club, they have not challenged for the European places or aimed for trophies for a while now.
Perhaps under the prospective of new owners, things will change for the Magpies.
