Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele was in action for Belgium against England at the World Cup on Thursday.

Manchester United legend Gary Neville has been quoted as saying by Skysports.com that Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele would get into the current England starting lineup.

The former England and United defender made the comments about Dembele following the Tottenham star’s performance for Belgium against the Three Lions in the World Cup game on Thursday evening.

Neville was impressed with the performance of the 30-year-old, who earns £80,000 per week as salary according to The Daily Star, and suggested that the former Fulham star would get into the England starting lineup.

While analysing Belgium’s win against England, Neville said, as quoted by Skysports.com: “That is the reality check. Not that England have lost tonight but that there were players in that Belgium second XI that would be in our first XI. That’s the reality check; Dembele would be in and a couple more.”

Dembele is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League and is a key figure in the current Tottenham team.

The 30-year-old, though, is not guaranteed a place in Belgium’s starting lineup, and that is mainly due to the quality of players in the Red Devils’ squad.

Belgium have some of the best players on the planet, and Roberto Martinez’s side will be aiming to go all the way in Russia and win the World Cup.
