Gary Neville predicts Premier League top four, after Arsenal beat Tottenham

Mauricio Pochettino’s side were unable to stop Arsenal yesterday, as they collapsed at the Emirates Stadium.

Gary Neville has told Sky Sports that he believes Tottenham Hotspur now have to look over their shoulders in the race for the top four.

Tottenham were beaten 4-2 by Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium yesterday, and their performance in the contest was disappointing.

Spurs were outfought for much of the contest by their local rivals, as Arsenal turned the result around in the second half.

And Neville believes that Arsenal can now catch Tottenham this season, and make their way into the top four.

He said: “There’s a real scrap on now. I thought Arsenal would struggle to get into the top four, because I just thought they had lost their first two games this season and had an unbeaten run but I thought these four days would catch them out.

“This puts them right in the mix, because the confidence and belief they’ll get out of this game.

“If you’re Tottenham or Chelsea you are looking over your shoulder, I think Manchester City and Liverpool will get the top four.”

Arsenal’s win over Spurs elevated them above Mauricio Pochettino’s side in the Premier League table.

The Gunners are now unbeaten in their last 19 matches, with Spurs having to play catch up.

Tottenham are next in action in midweek when they take on Southampton, while Arsenal face Manchester United.
