Gary Neville has said on Sky Sports Premier League (7:03pm, January 13, 2023) that Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United will not relegated from the Premier League at the end of the season.

The former Manchester United defender believes that Leeds will fight for their lives for the rest of the season, but the Sky Sports pundit has sad that the West Yorkshire club will eventually survive in the top flight of English football.

Neville made the comments in the build-up to the Premier League game between Aston Villa and Leeds at Villa Park on Friday evening.

The Whites lost the match.

Leeds are now 14th in the Premier League table with 17 points from 18 matches, just two points above the relegation zone.

Gary Neville on Leeds United survival verdict

Neville said: “For Leeds, it’s a little precarious, and I think it will probably continue to be like that for the rest of the season, but I think they will just be okay.”

Will Leeds be okay?

In our view, Leeds United will not get relegated to the Championship at the end of the season, but Jesse Marsch’s side will have to wait until the final weeks of the campaign to be safe.

Leeds are playing well, but they are simply unable to win matches.

For example, against Villa on Friday evening, the Whites were the better team for long spells, but it was Unai Emery’s side who scored the goal and won the match.
