Pundit Gary Neville has admitted that Ange Postecoglou bringing fun back to Tottenham Hotspur is ‘really important’.
Gary Neville is loving watching Tottenham Hotspur and can’t wait for next week’s North London derby against Arsenal.
Neville has been speaking on The Gary Neville Podcast and has reviewed this weekend’s Premier League action.
The former Manchester United defender commented on Tottenham having seen their dramatic late win over Sheffield United.
Spurs were 1-0 down to a Gustavo Hamer strike despite laying siege to the Sheffield United goal.
Tottenham pulled off a stunning comeback though as Richarlison headed home Ivan Perisic’s corner before the Brazilian set up Dejan Kulusevski to win it.
Two goals in injury time sent Tottenham fans absolutely wild and is only earning Ange Postecoglou even more praise.

Gary Neville comments on Ange Postecoglou and Tottenham Hotspur
Neville has reaffirmed that he thinks Tottenham fans will ‘have a lot of fun this season’, which he believes is something ‘really important’ that Postecoglou is bringing.
Neville praised Postecoglou for showing that he is a ‘good man’ who has impressed in the media and takes risks with his tactics.
The ex-England ace did suggest not getting too carried away right now though, believing that Tottenham will review their season expectations come January rather than at this moment.
Neville is really excited for a ‘showcase game’ against rivals Arsenal next week though, believing that this could be a fascinating matchup.
“I said when we went to watch Tottenham versus Manchester United a good few weeks ago now, that they’re going to have a lot of fun this season, the Tottenham fans, and I think that’s really important, that your team has that cohesion with the manager and has that feeling that he belongs there,” said Neville.
“There’s no doubt with Postecoglou that they believe this is a man that’s a good man, he speaks up in interviews, he’s got an honesty about him, he plays good football, he takes risk – which I think is really important for Spurs fans. At this moment, I would say it’s absolutely fantastic but we need to just review it in January, because I’m sure that’s what the Tottenham coaching staff will be thinking; very early in the season, not a time to get carried away, a time to keep working and next weekend is a showcase game I can’t wait for,” he added.

Postecoglou is allowing Tottenham fans to dream
Beating Sheffield United in injury time isn’t going to convince any doubters to suddenly put Tottenham into the mix as title candidates.
Yet Tottenham fans are being allowed to dream by Postecoglou, who has been a breath of fresh air in North London.
Jose Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo and Antonio Conte left Tottenham fans feeling that they had to accept mediocre football and constantly have their expectations managed.
Postecoglou is bringing exciting football, plenty of goals but an acceptance of what it means to be a football fan; dreaming of success and enjoying the style of play.
The Australian has been a welcome change from recent Tottenham manager and, whilst Spurs may well lose at Arsenal on Sunday, the change in atmosphere around the club is quite incredible and one defeat shouldn’t shatter that.
