The footballing world has been full of praise and adulation for Tottenham Hotspur this season, and alot of their success can be attributed to manager Mauricio Pochettino. The Argentine appears to be turning the North London side into a bona fide title contender and as a neutral it is hard not to appreciate the work he is doing.
As reported on Neville’s podcast, former Manchester United defender Gary Neville is the latest man to talk up the work that Pochettino has done at the club.
It was Tottenham’s 2-0 victory over Manchester City that has really started to open people’s eyes as to the potential this squad holds, and as we come to the mid-point of October they show no signs of slowing down.
“The job that he has done. When you remember the mob that he picked up when he got here – the likes of Adebayor, Kaboul and Paulinho,” Neville said.

“There is no way they could play at the level that Mauricio Pochettino wants. The speed and the energy.
“Now, inside two years, the transformation [at Tottenham] – even last season. It is a brilliant coaching and recruitment job. We’re hearing less about Daniel Levy and more about the coach.”

Things have not looked this consistently positive at White Hart Lane for a long time, with fans aiming to use last season’s poor end to the campaign as fuel to spur their team on this time round.
A trip to the Hawthorns to face West Bromwich Albion is the next challenge for Spurs following the international break.
