Tottenham Hotspur earned a well deserved victory over Chelsea on Sunday.

Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville offered high words of praise for Mauricio Pochettino’s decision to change things up during half-time against Chelsea, when speaking on Sky Sports’ podcast, highlighting how the Argentine was not conned by the 1-1 scoreline at the break.

Spurs eventually ran out comfortable 3-1 winners, and stretched their lead to eight points over fifth placed Chelsea, with just seven Premier League games remaining.

The Lilywhites also kept alive their hopes of finishing second in the table, with just four points separating them from Manchester United.

Mauricio Pochettino manager

Pochettino deserves great credit for the job he is doing at Tottenham, especially with the doubts that surrounded his team at the start of the season, due to the fact that all of their home games were to be played at Wembley Stadium.

Spurs have not lost a Premier League game since December 16th, and aside from Manchester City, they are undoubtedly the league’s most in-form side.

Neville praised Poch’s brave decision to mix things up at half-time against Chelsea, when speaking on Sky Sports’ podcast show:

“I said just after half-time that Mauricio Pochettino wasn’t conned by that goal, he hardly celebrated, and he knew it needed to change, and it was a good change. Eriksen went from left to centre, Lamela went from right to centre-forward, Alli went from No 10 to left, and Son went from central forward to right. They all changed positions.”

Next up for Tottenham is a trip to Stoke City on Saturday, and nothing less than a win will do, if they are to have any chance of catching second placed Manchester United.
