Pundit Gary Neville has hailed Alexander Isak after his role in Newcastle United’s 2-0 win over Manchester United on Sunday.
The Magpies produced one of the great days of the Eddie Howe era with a superb display against the Red Devils.
Joe Willock opened the scoring from close range before substitute Callum Wilson nodded in number two.
Newcastle were dominant and could have easily won by a bigger scoreline than 2-0.
Striker Isak was superb throughout and his sharpness helped bring that first goal for Newcastle.
The Swede was hailed by Gary Neville after the final whistle as he spoke on The Gary Neville Podcast.
Neville predicts that Isak is ‘going to be quality’ in the future having already shown so much ability in a Newcastle shirt.
Neville even spotted that Isak went to give Kieran Trippier some advice before he crossed for Wilson to score.
Isak was off the pitch at that point but still offered some words to Trippier, something Neville really likes about the Newcastle ace.
Neville also loved Isak’s interview after beating Nottingham Forest, seemingly loving the person as much as the player.
“Isak, I think, is going to be quality,” said Neville. “I think he’s more than just, if you like, a good forward. Things that impress me are things like when he went over to Kieran Trippier to talk to him before that free kick. He’s only 23 years of age!”
“I liked him when he came and did the interview after the game against Nottingham Forest. I’m also looking for someone who has got more than just talent; if they’ve got an intelligence to them, a brain, they think about the game, he wants to do the right things,” he added.

Alexander Isak takes Newcastle to another level
There is no doubting that Callum Wilson has been a very good striker for Newcastle.
Wilson came off the bench to score the killer second goal on Sunday and remains a goal threat off the bench.
Isak just takes Newcastle to another level and it’s hard to see how Wilson gets back into the starting XI.
Isak has real pace and his long strides make him a real threat in behind, but he’s also an aerial threat at 6ft 4in tall.
If you give Isak the ball into feet, he is able to turn and run or play neat passes in and around the final third – as seen with Newcastle’s first goal on Sunday.
There are still things to work on for Isak but he has all of the ingredients to become a truly complete striker.
Oh how Manchester United would love to have Isak leading their line instead of Wout Weghorst right now.
