Gary Neville has suggested on his self-titled podcast that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta reaction at full-time showed how much Sunday’s win over Manchester United meant to him and his side.
Arteta led Arsenal to a 1-0 victory at Old Trafford, and the Spaniard was clearly delighted when the three points were confirmed.
Arteta had a beaming smile on his face and punched the air in celebration when the full-time whistle went.
And Neville feels that Arteta’s reaction shows the confidence that Arsenal will be taking from the victory.
“Mikel Arteta has demonstrated really good qualities as a coach. I know before this game today they found themselves in a poor position in the league, but they have had a far more difficult run than many of the teams around them,” Neville said.
“I think they’ll get real confidence from that. We saw from his celebration at the end. It was a job really well done.”

There is no doubting that Arteta deserved to celebrate a job well done at the weekend.
His tactical plan worked to perfection as Arsenal unquestionably had the better of the contest.
The Gunners could actually have won by a greater margin had they been more clinical, as they completely nullified United’s threat.
Arsenal have now moved up to ninth place in the Premier League table, with their next league game coming against Aston Villa at the weekend.
