Gary Neville has praised Leeds United defender Luke Ayling on Sky Sports Premier League (10:47pm, March 18, 2022) following the match against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The former Manchester United defender was impressed by Ayling’s performance during Leeds’s 3-2 comeback win against Wolves away from home at Molineux Stadium in the Premier League on Friday evening.

Ayling, who played as a right-back, was involved in the first goal for Leeds and scored the winner in injury time.

Neville said on Sky Sports Premier League (10:47pm, March 18, 2022): “I think Luke Ayling can only play the game one way.

“I think he is absolutely a brilliant player to watch. He has massive energy, he has big spirit.”

Luke Ayling a star for Leeds United

In our opinion, Ayling is one of the best players at Leeds and is very committed on the pitch.

The 30-year-old is not necessarily one of the best defenders in the Premier League, but he works hard and gives everything on the pitch.

Ayling has a lot of energy, works hard and can run from the first minute to the last.

That is a big reason why the 30-year-old has been at Leeds since 2016 and has established himself as a big player for the team over the years.

Against Wolves, Ayling took three shots, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 69.4%, won two headers, took 73 touches, attempted two dribbles, made three tackles, and put in four crosses.
