Gary Neville has claimed that reported Arsenal target and Chelsea loanee, Armando Broja, is a ‘really, really exciting’ talent, as he told Sky Sports PL.
The former right-back added that he has been ‘enormously impressed’ by the 20-year-old, who is on Chelsea’s books, but thriving at Southampton this season.
That has seemingly resulted in Mikel Arteta wanting to sign the all-action striker, with Football London claiming that Arsenal are looking at the player.
Over the course of the season, Broja has scored six Premier League goals from 22 league matches, including during Southampton’s 3-2 win at Spurs earlier this month.
Even though Broja is in his first full season in England’s top-flight, Neville is liking what he is seeing from the youngster.
“Enormously impressed by Broja,” said Neville. “He’s so smooth. When you look at him in the final third, I think the really top young players look well ahead of their years.
“They have more time on the ball than you think. They are really composed in their finishing. It doesn’t look like he’s sprinting because he is always in control. He knows what he is going to do and slows himself down in the final third.
“A lot of young players are erratic and they are rash. He’s not. He’s a really, really exciting talent and I like him a lot.”

With Romelu Lukaku struggling at Chelsea this season following his big-money transfer return in the summer, it will be interesting to see how they view their thriving star at Southampton.
Arsenal are chasing Champions League football and may well be competing in the same competition as Chelsea next season.
Added with that, it would take a ridiculous amount of money for Chelsea to sell their star striker to their London rivals.
Not only that, Southampton, who are currently helping Broja develop, will probably want another bite at the player next season because they are progressing well under Ralph Hasenhuttl.
