Pundit warns Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United can afford no more losses ahead of beating Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola’s rampant Manchester City side moved eight points clear at the top of the Premier League table at the weekend to become clear favourites to win the title.
City are unbeaten but are yet to face nearest challengers Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, who are level on points.
Former United captain Gary Neville believes City are beatable and can be caught in the title race, but Spurs and United can afford no more defeats ahead of facing Guardiola’s team.
He told SkySports: “If you’re Manchester United, or Tottenham, I’d be looking towards that game in December thinking they can be no worse off going into that game than they are now. They’ll be thinking they have to damage them that day.
“Those games, on December 10 and December 16, against the two teams closest to them, they have to be thinking they need to be six to eight points behind them and no more. But they could be 12 points by then.”

Ahead of facing City, Manchester United play Newcastle United (h), Brighton (h), Watford (a) and Arsenal (a).
The two away games are particularly tough and City’s rampant form puts the Red Devils under real pressure before they host the league leaders.
Tottenham’s upcoming Premier League games are against Arsenal (a), West Brom (h), Leicester (a), Watford (a), Stoke (h) and Brighton (h).
Spurs are capable of going undefeated until they visit City and will hope to record back to back home wins before the fixture but it will be a testing month for them and an away win against rivals Arsenal will get them off to a flying start.
