The Tottenham Hotspur hitman has played an incredible amount of football over the past three or four years.

Assistant Manager Gary Neville looks on during an England training session at St Georges Park on May 30, 2016 in Burton on Trent, England.

Sky Sports pundits Gary Neville highlighted his concern for Tottenham and England striker Harry Kane, when speaking exclusively to Sky Sports, suggesting that the striker looks like he needs ‘looking after’.

The 25-year-old burst into the scene with Spurs way back in 2014, and he has since gone on to make 217 senior appearances in all competitions for the club.

Kane has firmly established himself as one of the continent’s best strikers, having scored 142 goals for Tottenham in the last four years, but there is a danger that he will burn out, having played so much football.

That is a sentiment echoed by Neville.

The former England coach told Sky Sports how Kane is in desperate need of a rest, both physically and mentally:

“I am concerned about Harry Kane. Since 2015 he has played 175 matches and he’s struggling. Forget the physical side, he needs a mental break as well. I don’t think he should have been here for the two weeks. I think there is a welfare thing in terms of looking after players. He has not had enough of a break since 2015. He just looks like he needs looking after”.

Kane will surely not be handed a rest anytime soon, however, with Tottenham facing crucial games against Liverpool and Inter Milan over the next six days, and the England international will have to be on his best form, if his side have any chance of winning both games.
