Gary Neville has said on ITV (7:42pm, June 13, 2021) that Liverpool will miss Georginio Wijnaldum next season.
The former Manchester United defender believes that Wijnaldum was an unsung hero at Liverpool.
The Netherlands international midfielder has left Liverpool and has joined Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.
Neville said on ITV (7:42pm, June 13, 2021): “Unsung hero. Liverpool have got so many great players to talk about, obviously the great players Liverpool have. He very rarely gets a mention. I think he will be missed badly next season. Very difficult to replace him.”
Will Liverpool miss Georginio Wijnaldum?
Wijnaldum joined Liverpool from Newcastle United in the summer of 2016.
The 30-year-old was a big player for the Reds over the years.
Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah have often hit the headlines, but the importance of Wijnaldum cannot be understated at all.

The former Newcastle star was very influential in Liverpool winning the Premier League and the Champions League under manager Jurgen Klopp.
The way Klopp spoke about him following his departure shows just what he thinks of the midfielder.
Liverpool will certainly miss Wijnaldum next season.
However, no footballer in the world is irreplaceable, unless you are Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi.
Liverpool will find a player who can replace the Dutchman.
It may not be this summer, but Liverpool are a big and rich club, and the Reds will find someone in due time.
