Gary Neville doesn’t agree with West Ham United boss David Moyes’ post-match comments

West Ham United drew 1-1 with Stoke City last night at the London Stadium.

Gary Neville has told Monday Night Football, which was broadcast on Sky Sports on 16th April, that he disagrees with David Moyes’ analysis of West Ham United’s game against Stoke City.

Moyes came out in his post match interview with Sky, and he was very bouyant.

The Hammers’ late equaliser in the 1-1 draw had clearly put a spring in Moyes’ step.

And the Scottish boss claimed during his post-match interview that West Ham had control of the match.

However, Neville claimed that he didn’t feel that the Hammers had been the dominant force, and suggested that Moyes’ comments would have been very different, if Andy Carroll hadn’t helped his side pick up a point.

“No, I don’t think they were dominating the game,” Neville said. “I think if Carroll hasn’t scored that goal you would have seen a very different David Moyes. He’s relieved, so it was a different approach from both managers in the interviews, but once which reflected the game.”

Moyes has still come in for criticism, despite West Ham’s late effort to rescue the game.

The point aids West Ham’s survival bid, but a victory in the contest would arguably have been enough to effectively secure Moyes’ side’s survival.

West Ham are now seven points above the drop zone, with just five games left to play this term.
