West Ham United loanee Jesse Lingard’s unbelievable form continued on Sunday afternoon as he bagged a brace in a 3-2 win over Leicester City.

Lingard did his damage in the first half, firing home an exquisite strike from the edge of the box before tapping in his second.

Signed on loan from Manchester United in January, Lingard has only played nine games for the Hammers, but already has eight goals and three assists.

The 28-year-old has gone from being completely out of favour at United to the talk of the Premier League and back in the England squad.

Now, interest in Lingard is mounting. The London Evening Standard claim that Arsenal want to sign Lingard if they can’t land Martin Odegaard.

West Ham of course want to land Lingard again, and Gary Neville has now discussed what could be the next step for the playmaker.

Neville has told his own podcast that he thinks United face a ‘big decision’, because Lingard is a good player who can either play a role for Solskjaer or bring in key funds.

Neville believes that it’s a ‘win-win’ for all parties, as Lingard could help fire United to the title next season or go and thrive elsewhere, such as Arsenal or West Ham.

“We know he’s a good player. United have a big decision to make,” said Neville. “Do they cash in and get good money for him, and then replenish the squad in an area they want to, and bring extra quality? Or do they think he’s part of a good 23-man squad?”

“He can’t lose with the decision, Solskjaer. Lingard’s value has gone up, Jesse is enjoying himself, so he either comes back to United or plays a big part in a title challenge, or he gets a good move, United get the money for him, and they can use that money to spend elsewhere. I don’t think United or Lingard can lose, it’s a win-win for both parties,” he added.
