Sam Allardyce won his first match in charge at Everton, by beating Huddersfield Town 2-0.

Gary Neville has told his own self titled podcast, which is published by Sky Sports, that Sam Allardyce can remove all doubts about him as Everton boss by beating Liverpool next weekend.

Allardyce’s appointment at Goodison Park has been greeted with a mixed reception.

While some Everton fans feel secure with Allardyce, as he has never been relegated, others have questioned whether he is just short-term fix.

Allardyce won his first match in charge at Everton, by beating Huddersfield Town 2-0 on Saturday, but some doubts have still remained.

And Neville feels that the only way to remove criticism from Allardyce will be to go to Anfield next weekend and win against Liverpool.

“If you’re Sam Allardyce and want to remove all the doubts, then he goes and beats Liverpool,” Neville said.

Everton’s task of beating Liverpool looks to be extremely tough, as Jurgen Klopp’s side have been in devastating form.

Liverpool have powered past teams in recent weeks, and Everton will have to be at their defensive best, if they are to stand any chance of causing an upset in the Merseyside derby.

An Everton win could lift the Toffees up to ninth in the Premier League table, with would represent fine progress over recent weeks.
