Gary Neville told Sky Sports during their live coverage of Arsenal’s clash against Liverpool that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was ‘struggling’ after 28 minutes on Saturday.
The TV pundit feels that Mikel Arteta was asking too much of the Arsenal speedster out on the left-hand side.
Aubameyang, as well as doing his natural attacking work, was asked to drop deep behind the ball every time Trent Alexander-Arnold was trying to get forward.
And Neville feels that Arsenal’s senior star was playing like a ‘left-back’ and ‘panting like mad’ half an hour into the game.
“It’s a massive ask for Aubameyang,” said Neville. “You are asking him to go back with Trent Alexander-Arnold. Playing quite often like a left-back.
“But then to ask him to be up the pitch and support Lacazette. He’s struggling, look at him. He is panting like mad.”

On one hand, Arsenal finally have a team that is defending together and making themselves pretty hard to beat.
Something the fans have been crying out for years.
