Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min has been hailed by Gary Neville after his start to the season as a striker.
Gary Neville started to worry that Son Heung-min’s ‘legs had gone’ but feels he has been ‘brilliant’ for Tottenham Hotspur this term.
Tottenham played out a bonkers game on Monday, losing 4-1 to Chelsea whilst playing more than 40 minutes with only 10 men.
Spurs played a daring brand of football in the second half but Chelsea picked them off in the end, handing Ange Postecoglou his first league defeat of the season.
There were some nearly moments for Tottenham, with two involving forward Son.

Son had the ball in the net in the first 15 minutes, slotting home from Brennan Johnson’s pass to seemingly put Tottenham 2-0 up.
The goal was ruled out for offside though with Son going slightly early.
That could have put Chelsea out of sight but Son still had one big moment at 2-1, driving through the Chelsea defence to have a shot at goal.
Robert Sanchez just about denied Son, preventing what would have been one of the great Tottenham Hotspur Stadium moments.
Gary Neville comments on Son form
We mostly know Son as a dangerous winger, cutting in from the left flank to cause mayhem for Premier League defenders.
Harry Kane’s exit has sparked a change though with Son now playing through the middle as Tottenham’s main striker.
The goals have flowed for Son, and he has impressed pundit Gary Neville in the process.
Neville (06/11, 8:17pm) told Sky Sports that he can’t believe how well Son is playing right now.
Neville admitted that he thought Son’s ‘legs had gone’ a couple of years ago, but now thinks he is back to his ‘brilliant’ best in a striking role.
“How well is Son playing as a centre forward? A couple of years ago, you were watching him and thought his legs had gone! He’s revitalised, back to his best, a brilliant player and thriving in that central role,” said Neville.
We can understand having that feeling last season as Son just wasn’t at his best, but a couple of years is a bit much.
Son shared the Premier League Golden Boot with Mohamed Salah in 2022, so his quality has been clear for a long time.
Last season was difficult but Son is excelling this season and long may that continue.
