Newcastle United managed to draw 1-1 with Liverpool at St. James’ Park yesterday.

Jamie Carragher has expressed his frustrations after Liverpool were held by Newcastle United at St. James’ Park.
Liverpool and Newcastle could not be separated yesterday, with the match finishing as a 1-1 draw.
The Reds had taken the lead when Philippe Countinho bent in a belter from long-range, but their usual defensive problems were on display.
Newcastle forward Joselu hit an equaliser, and Liverpool didn’t manage to show their true attacking quality throughout the contest.
And Carragher was frustrated with his former side’s failure to pick up the three points on Tyneside.
Neville used the result as an opportunity to poke fun at his fellow Sky Sports pundit, suggesting it was a positive result for Liverpool.
Liverpool have now conceded more goals than all but two sides in the Premier League, and they are now in seventh place in the top flight standings.
Newcastle, meanwhile, have made a good start to the new season, following their promotion, and still remain in the top half.
