West Bromwich Albion and Tottenham Hotspur played out a 1-1 draw on Saturday.

West Bromwich Albion caretaker Gary Megson has told The Express and Star that Tottenham Hotspur fans were ‘slaughtering’ goalkeeper Ben Foster on Saturday for perceived time-wasting tactics.
Under-pressure West Brom managed to win a very good point at Wembley on Saturday as Harry Kane’s 74th-minute equaliser cancelled out Salomon Rondon’s shock opener shortly after kickoff.
With the Baggies being relegation candidates at the moment, Foster looked to be taking his time at every given opportunity and was booked by referee Mike Jones on 82 minutes for doing so.

Unsurprisingly Tottenham fans in the stadium and on social media reacted angrily to the 34-year-old’s time-wasting plot, but caretaker boss Megson believes that the West Brom support was the louder of the two throughout and praised the travelling Albion fans for making their voice heard.
“I thought they were brilliant,” he told The Express and Star. “It’s a great thing for any away supporter to see their club at Wembley because it’s been a long time for them.

“I enjoyed that, I’ve got a good rapport with them and I’ve got all the time in the world for them. And I thought they were really good, the noise was coming from then.
“The noise I heard from Tottenham most of the time was slaughtering Ben for what they deemed was taking too long.”
