West Ham United have been linked with Gary Medel for some time now.

West Ham United fans have probably been sick of seeing Gary Medel’s name in conjunction with the Hammers, but that can probably be put to bed now.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side were expected to sign a combative midfielder this summer, especially after selling Pedro Obiang to Sassuolo, but that never materialised.
One name heavily linked with West Ham for what feels like months was Medel, who had been expected to leave Besiktas over the summer.
Pellegrini knows his compatriot from back in Chile, and Fanatik in Turkey reported last month that Medel’s move to West Ham was close to completion.
However, West Ham failed to get Medel in, and it now seems that all talk of him heading to East London – in January, next summer or down the line – can be written off.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Medel is now set to join Bologna, penning a three-year deal with the Serie A club, with his move expected to be confirmed today.
Medel will be 35 by the time his deal ends, and with West Ham looking to move forward, signing the veteran even closer to the end of his career seems unlikely – and Medel to West Ham is surely never going to happen now.
