The Rangers manager Steven Gerrard remains on the hunt for his first piece of silverware at Ibrox.

Gary McAllister has suggested that Rangers will field a strong side in Wednesday night’s Scottish League Cup quarter-final.
Rangers travel to Livingston in pursuit of their first piece of silverware under Steven Gerrard’s management.
The Gers only went as far as the semi-final of last season’s competition, as they finished second in the league, and were eliminated from both the last eight of the Scottish FA Cup and Europa League group stage.
Speaking via Rangers’ official Youtube channel on Tuesday, Gerrard’s assistant McAllister attributed some of the blame to too much rotation.
Asked if Gerrard will look to mix things up at the Tony Macaroni Arena, the former Scotland international replied: “The thing is we’re looking at each game in isolation. We don’t want to be making loads of change.
“Last season we did make two, three, four changes on these occasions after a run of good results so I think the lesson learned from last year is to try to make as few changes as possible.”
McAllister also revealed that Brandon Barker is a doubt to face Livingston, while Ryan Kent and Jordan Jones remain sidelined despite having both returned to training ahead of schedule.

And, according to the 54-year-old, several players on the periphery of Rangers’ squad are pushing to be included.
