Gary Mackay-Steven made a rare start for Celtic in their match against Inverness last night.

Celtic fans have encouraged Gary Mackay-Steven, after his latest message on social media website Twitter.

Mackay-Steven was selected to start for Celtic, as they cruised to success over Inverness last night.

The 26-year-old has struggled for opportunities this campaign, with injury halting his progress under Brendan Rodgers.

But Mackay-Steven enjoyed a rare chance to impress, and Celtic fans have encouraged him to keep putting his all into making his Parkhead career a success.

Celtic picked up a 4-0 victory over Inverness last night, and they looked a class above their opponents once again.

Scott Sinclair gave the Bhoys the lead, and Rodgers’ side never looked back after that.

Moussa Dembele netted a second shortly after half-time, before Stuart Armstrong got on the scoresheet, and then Dembele scored again.

And Mackay-Steven was not the only Celtic player to react on social media after the contest, with Dembele and Erik Sviatchenko also posting messages.
