Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane was taken off before he had the opportunity to net his 30th goal of the season against Hull City.

Gary Lineker has suggested that Mauricio Pochettino would have irritated Harry Kane by substituting him off during Tottenham Hotspur’s match against Hull City yesterday.

Spurs won 7-1 at the KC Stadium, and Kane was withdrawn after he netted his hat-trick.

Pochettino’s decision to take the England international off, meant that he was denied the opportunity to net his 30th Premier League goal.

And Lineker believes that Kane would have been frustrated to have been replaced by Vincent Janssen.

Even though Kane didn’t manage to net his 30th goal, the 23-year-old has still enjoyed a hugely impressive campaign.

Despite missing a sizeable chunk of the season with injury, Kane has defended his golden boot trophy.

Kane has scored 29 goals for Spurs this term, and finished up by netting seven times in his last two outings.

Kane’s goalscoring form helped Tottenham finish this campaign in second place in the Premier League table.
