Gary Lineker has taken to Twitter to direct a subtle dig in the direction of Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho, after the Suez Canal was blocked.
As the BBC explain, a giant container ship has become wedged across Egypt’s Suez Canal, one of the world’s busiest trade routes.
Egypt have opened the canal’s older route amid fears the Suez Canal could be blocked for days.
Dr Sal Mercogliano, a maritime historian based in North Carolina, said that this disaster could have huge ramifications on global trade.

After seeing a photo of the container ship, BBC Match of the Day host Lineker took the opportunity to aim a subtle dig at Jose Mourinho’s style of football.
You can see what the former Tottenham striker tweeted below.
Evidently, Lineker is having a bit of a laugh about Mourinho’s tendency to park the bus during games, where it seems like nearly every player is behind the ball.
iNews wrote last season about how the £288,461-a-week manager’s park the bus style has no guts, no glory and is largely pointless.

After watching Tottenham crash out of the Europa League in pathetic fashion, the same could be said even today.
Of course, the Suez Canal blockage is no laughing matter, but Lineker has managed to find a way to make light of the situation.
