A sloppy goal scored by Diego Costa was followed by Eden Hazard’s cool finish. Victor Moses then scored the third, latching on to either a lucky touch or an exquisite flick from substitute Nathaniel Chalobah.
One of Leicester City’s most famous fans then tweeted after the result was confirmed.
Gary Lineker in the stands
Gary Lineker, who of course used to play for the club, tweeted a humorous message after Moses scored – suggesting that when Moses scores, the game is bound to be gone:
The Nigerian international’s goal was the only comment Lineker had to make about the result. The Match of the Day presenter, with tongue firmly in cheek, then had this to say about Leicester’s title challenge:
The Foxes were not expected to challenge for the title again this season, but their poor form at the start of the season has seemed to confirm that is the case.
Leicester fans will hope for better against Copenhagen in the Champions League this week.
