According to The Times, Rafa Benitez wants to bring Burnley forward Dwight McNeil to Everton this summer.
What’s the story?
Well, Benitez is also targeting Andros Townsend and Demarai Gray.
However, the Spaniard seems keen to add a third wide man to his ranks this summer in McNeil, who is among the best at Turf Moor.
The Times believe Everton are eyeing a £25m deal for the 21-year-old, who was once released by Manchester United.
Last season, the 10-cap England Under-21 international scored two goals and provided five assists in 36 Premier League appearances.
One of his two goals came at Goodison Park, and what a strike it was.
Gary Lineker rates Dwight McNeil highly

One man who loves McNeil is Gary Lineker.
The former Everton marksman once called Burnley’s No.11 a ‘very talented’ footballer when writing on his Twitter account.

In our view, Everton don’t need the £5,000-a-week forward.
Benitez already has options out wide in Richarlison, James Rodriguez, Alex Iwobi and Bernard, while Moise Kean can also operate on the flanks.

By all means, add Gray and Townsend to that bunch, as the latter is a free agent and the former will only cost £1.5m.
However, splashing £25m on another wide man would just be foolish.
