If Calciomercato are to be trusted, Newcastle and Southampton are both interested in taking Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain away from Liverpool.
The Italian news outlet believe Jürgen Klopp could sell the £120,000-a-week midfielder, who was signed from Arsenal for £35m back in 2017.
It would be a risky purchase given the 27-year-old’s injury history.
However, if Newcastle or Southampton did sign him, at least the deal would have the backing of Gary Lineker, who rates Oxlade-Chamberlain highly.
What has Gary Lineker said?
Tweeting after Oxlade-Chamberlain scored a wonderful goal against Genk in October 2019, Lineker called the Liverpool No.15 superb.
You can see the BBC Match of the Day host’s tweet in full below.
That season, Oxlade-Chamberlain scored eight goals as Liverpool won the Premier League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.

It’s safe to say that his move to Anfield did wonders for his trophy cabinet.
Would Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain be a good signing?
In Newcastle and Southampton’s case, they should steer clear of players like this.
An injury prone player, earning huge wages, is not what a Premier League club outside of the top six needs – it would put huge strain on finances.

There’s no question about Oxlade-Chamberlain’s talent, but at this stage, he’s more of a luxury player than someone you can rely on.
Steve Bruce and Ralph Hasenhuttl should look elsewhere, in our view.
