Since arriving at Everton, Carlo Ancelotti has already shown that he has the aura to lure top-class footballers to Goodison Park.
For example, who would’ve thought that James Rodríguez would one day become an Everton player when Real Madrid signed him for £71 million?
Now, it looks as if Ancelotti has his next superstar lined up.
The Daily Star believe that Everton are lining up a move for Sergio Agüero once he leaves Manchester City this summer – Leeds are also keen.
The report states that the Toffees have a plan to pay his astronomical £240,000-a-week wages.
Everton will offer the Argentina a significant signing-on fee, to make up for a lower weekly salary.
One man who’s a big fan of Agüero is Gary Lineker.

Back in February 2019, the BBC Match of the Day host described the £35 million forward as ‘one of the best’ after he scored against Chelsea.
You can see Lineker’s tweet below.
By the sounds of it, Everton face huge competition to sign Agüero.

The Daily Star claim that Leeds are hot on his heels, as too are Chelsea, Tottenham, Barcelona and Inter Milan.
It will be interesting to see where he ends up, as we feel he still has plenty to offer at 32 years of age.
