Gary Lineker has taken to Twitter to share his thoughts after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang finally scored in Arsenal’s 1-1 draw against Southampton.
The Gabon international hadn’t scored since netting a penalty in the 1-0 win over Manchester United back on November 1st.
However, he finally got back on the scoresheet with a cultured, curled finish against Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men.
Here’s how Lineker reacted to the former Borussia Dortmund man’s goal.
The BBC Match of the Day pundit thinks the floodgates will now open for Aubameyang, whose strike was just his third Premier League goal of the season.
On that basis, it’s a bold prediction from Lineker to think that the ‘goals will flow again’ from Arsenal’s No.14, seeing as his two previous efforts this term haven’t kickstarted a run of form.

Lineker also thinks that Aubameyang is ‘one of the best’ around, a statement which isn’t as bold.
The 31-year-old has 75 goals in 124 games for the north Londoners, and when on form, there are few better than the Laval-born marksman.

Hopefully, his strike against the Saints will see his season kickstarted.
However, given the form Arsenal are in, you simply don’t know what to expect from Mikel Arteta’s men, or Aubameyang, right now.
