Gary Lineker has taken to Twitter to react after seeing what Liverpool forward Sadio Mané has done in his homeland of Senegal.

What’s the story?

Well, Liverpool’s No.10 has presented the President of Senegal, Macky Sall, with plans to build a new hospital in Bambali.

The 29-year-old’s plans are described as ambitious by the President of Senegal’s official Twitter account.

However, the pair are pictured bumping fists and sitting alongside each other, so it looks as if the project has been given the green light by Sall.

After seeing what Mané had done, Lineker issued the following one-word reaction on Twitter.

It truly is fantastic – Mané is using his footballing status to great effect by influencing things away from the sport.

Not the first time Mané has done something like this

If there’s one thing to know about Mané, it’s that he’s a genuinely thoughtful and caring person who often donates his riches.

The £100,000-a-week forward donated £250,000 to help build a school in Senegal.

He also handed £41,000 to the country’s health authorities amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

As Planet Football detail, he has also done a number of good deeds that many footballers wouldn’t, such as help carry water bottles into the stadium from the coach, while also cleaning mosques.

Liverpool fans will also know that Mané tugged on heartstrings all across the globe, after dedicating his goal celebrations to a supporter’s Grandad.

Lineker’s use of the word ‘fantastic’ is arguably an understatement to describe Mané – he is, quite simply, a wonderful human being.
