Gary Lineker sends message to Barcelona about European Super League

Gary Lineker has sent a message to Barcelona on Twitter urging them to pull out of the European Super League.

Barcelona are among the 12 clubs who have formed the European Super League.

Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Real Madrid and Chelsea are among the other Founding Clubs of the breakaway group.

Lineker played for Barcelona, and the former Tottenham and England international striker has urged the Spanish giants to stop the European Super League.

The European Super League has met with fierce opposition from the world of football, and it will be interesting to see if it goes ahead.

Madrid president Florentino Perez made it clear last night that no club can leave the European Super League now.

This is a very fast-moving situation and anything is possible. Most fans are against the idea, and perhaps pressure from supporters will change the mind of the 12 clubs.

Perhaps in the coming weeks, the European Super League, UEFA, FIFA and the respective domestic leagues will come to a compromise and agree on a deal that will satisfy all parties concerned.
