Former Tottenham Hotspur and Everton striker Gary Lineker has taken to social networking site Twitter to claim that Leicester City look much better with Shinji Okazaki in the team.

The former Leicester and Barcelona striker made the comment during the Foxes’ victory over Crystal Palace at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Okazaki, who is 30 years of age and plays as a striker, scored for the Foxes in the 63rd minute of the match, which Claudio Ranieri’s side won 3-1.

Okazaki is a good striker and was an important figure in Leicester’s Premier League title-winning campaign of 2015-16.

The 30-year-old scored five goals and created 19 chances in 36 Premier League appearances for the Foxes last season.

So far this campaign, the Japan international has scored one goal and created two chances in six league matches.

Leicester are not having a great season and are unlikely to win the league title again, but Ranieri’s side can be hopeful of ending up in the top 10 or the top eight.
