Gary Lineker has praised Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe on Twitter for his goal against Brighton and Hove Albion, and so has Adrian Clarke.
Tottenham Hotspur legend Lineker was impressed with the goal from Pepe in their Premier League game against Brighton away from home this afternoon.
The 25-year-old winger was not having a great game until the moment he found the target with a stunning effort.
According to WhoScored, against the Seagulls on Saturday afternoon, Pepe took one shot which ended in a goal, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 90.9%, won one header, took 41 touches, attempted one dribble, and put in five crosses.
Lineker has praised the Ivory Coast international winger for his goal, and so has former Arsenal midfielder Clarke.
Disappointing result
Arsenal suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Brighton, with the home team scoring a late winner.
It was a very disappointing result for the Gunners, whose chances of finishing in the top four of the Premier League table this season and qualifying for the Champions League have suffered a blow.
