Manchester City have not only consolidated their grip on a top-four finish, but they also have moved above Liverpool onto third place on goal difference.
Pep Guardiola’s troops were rampant against Crystal Palace and registered a fantastic 5-0 win on Saturday afternoon. It was Man City’s biggest Premier League win under the Spaniard.
City took the early lead through David Silva, and from there on it was a one way traffic. Palace were lacklustre throughout the match, and are not yet assured of Premier League safety.

Vincent Kompany gave City a 2-0 lead right after the break when he slotted home Kevin De Bruyne’s brilliant cross.
De Bruyne soon got into the act and made it 3-0 with a low shot from the edge of the area. Raheem Sterling and Nicolas Otamendi completed the rout for the home side.
City had 69% of possession and 12 shots on target during the match, according to BBC Sport, and clearly outplayed their opponent on every department.
BBC Sports pundit and former England striker, Gary Lineker, has reacted to City’s victory on Twitter, saying the Citizens are wonderful to watch when they are in form.
City now have a four-goal advantage on Liverpool. Palace, on the other hand, will require a victory against Hull City in their next match to end their relegation worries.
