Gary Lineker has given his take on Twitter on Tottenham Hotspur head coach Jose Mourinho’s decision regarding Giovani Lo Celso against Manchester City this evening.

Lo Celso – who cost Tottenham £27.2 million in transfer fees, as reported by BBC Sport – was in action for Tottenham in their Premier League game against City at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The 24-year-old midfielder did not start the match, but the Argentina international came on as a substitute in the 65th minute. The former Real Betis man scored just seconds later to make it 2-0 to Tottenham.

Former Tottenham striker Lineker was following the match, and he has given his take on Mourinho’s decision to bring on the Argentine.

Good result

Tottenham played well defensively and took their chances when they got them, and it has to be said that the North London club deservedly picked up all three points from the encounter.

Perhaps Spurs will now start to think that they can challenge for the Premier League title this season. Mourinho is a serial winner, and he would love to guide Tottenham to league success.
