Everton were too good for Manchester United today.
Everton were quite simply sensational today, beating Manchester United 4-0 at Goodison Park, and Gary Lineker took to Twitter, praising Marco Silva’s side for their performance.
The Toffees now sit in seventh spot in the Premier League table, and they have every chance of earning Europa League football for next season.
Silva’s side have struggled with consistency this season, but they have earned some hugely important victories recently over Chelsea, Arsenal and today’s 4-0 thrashing of United.
Everton were 2-0 up at half-time after goals from Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson, and they weren’t done there.
Lucas Digne and Theo Walcott doubled the Blues’ half-time lead, and the game finished 4-0.
It was arguably Everton’s best display of the entire campaign, and they will now be looking to finish the season with three more wins.
