Demarai Gray celebrates after scoring the first goal for Leicester
Premier League champions Leicester City were back in action last night, winning their first pre-season game.
In front of a crowd of 9,400 fans away at Oxford United, Leicester won 2-1 through goals from Demarai Gray and Jeffrey Schlupp.
Former Leicester striker and Match of the Day host Gary Lineker was watching on, and commented on Twitter after the game.
He was impressed in particular with Gray, and also hailed new signing Ahmed Musa.
Gray signed mid-season from Championship side Birmingham City and played a bit-part role in Leicester’s title winning campaign.
The 20-year-old will hope to make a more meaningful impact this campaign and this pre-season with the Foxes could be crucial to doing so.
