Gary Lineker did not feel Jamie Vardy should have received a red card v Stoke City.
Leicester City drew 2-2 with Stoke City in the Premier League today, in a fixture fraught with controversy.
The Foxes found themselves down to 10 men after Jamie Vardy was sent off for what the referee felt was a two-footed challenge.
It was a tackle that divided opinion.

There is no doubt that Vardy left the ground with both his feet but he then proceeded to tackle with just one – it was certainly a debateable red card.
It was certainly not a decision that former Leicester hero and BBC Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker agreed with.
He sent this message on Twitter, although admitted his bias may play a part:
Leicester then had a penalty given against them and free-kick, from which Stoke scored twice and gave themselves a 2-0 lead. This had the usually placid Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri becoming unusually animated in discussion with the referees. Lineker was certainly surprised to see Ranieri so animated:
It was a view shared by Lineker’s BBC colleague Dion Dublin – the former Aston Villa man commenting on the BBC:
“Rubbish.
“The referee has got that completely wrong.
“Vardy makes the tackle. He has no intention of making the tackle with two feet at all. It is 100% wrong.”
In the end Leicester showed great resilience to pick up a 2-2 draw, something Lineker put down to their champions mentality:
But in future Leicester will hope to get a point with less of the drama.
