Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane was at it again on Wednesday night, scoring a superb goal as England drew 1-1 away at Poland.
Kane has enjoyed a strong international break.
The Tottenham ace scored England’s second goal in the 4-0 win at Hungary before coming off the bench to rifle home a penalty against Andorra.
Kane then opened the scoring against Poland, and it may go down as one of his best England strikes.
Dropping into a deep position as he so often does, Kane was able to come forward without being closed down, and he rifled a long-range strike past Wojciech Szczesny.
Sadly, that wasn’t enough for England to claim the win, as a late injury-time goal from Damian Szymanski handed Poland a point.
With all the speculation over his future now over, Kane can focus on doing what he does best – scoring lots of goals.
Tottenham will hope that Kane brings this kind of form to the club scene, with Tottenham facing a trip to Crystal Palace this weekend without a number of players.
Gary Lineker took to Twitter to react to Kane’s goal, calling the strike ‘fabulous’ whilst also branding Kane ‘Lord Kane of the Lane’.
We’ve heard Kane called ‘Lord Kane’ in the past, but ‘Lord Kane of The Lane’ is possibly a new one.
Lineker maybe didn’t score many long-range goals like that in his career, but he certainly appreciates them – and by scoring goals for Tottenham and England, Kane is somewhat emulating Lineker.
