Gary Lineker has hilariously poked fun at Fernando Llorente’s own goal for Tottenham on Twitter by stating ‘it didn’t take him long to show that he can score’ with Harry Kane out injured.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side secured a dramatic 2-1 win over Fulham on Sunday afternoon, with midfielder Harry Winks scoring a winner in the dying moments of the match.
In the first half, striker Llorente, who was replacing the injured Kane in the starting XI, bundled the ball into his own net before Dele Alli levelled the scores after the break.
BBC pundit Lineker couldn’t help but mention Llorente’s own goal, who was talked about a lot during the build-up to this match because of Kane’s absence.

During Spurs’ last league outing, their 1-0 defeat at home to Manchester United, Kane hobbled off the pitch with suspected ligament damage following a collision with Phil Jones.
Earlier this week, the club confirmed on their official Twitter account that the England international damaged ligaments in his left ankle and is expected to return to training in early March.
As expected, Kane’s absence is a body blow to Spurs, who are looking to finish in the top four, secure their passage to the League Cup final, progress in the FA Cup final and win their Champions League knockout match against Dortmund.
However, they managed without him at Craven Cottage as they picked up a valuable three points, with Llorente missing a number of guilt edge opportunities and looking off-colour throughout.
