Derby County beat Leeds United in the Championship play-offs on Wednesday night.

Derby County will take on Aston Villa in the Championship play-off final, after producing a stunning display to beat Leeds United on Wednesday night.
Leeds were 1-0 up from the first leg of the semi-finals, with Kemar Roofe giving the Whites an away victory, leaving Marcelo Bielsa’s side as the favourites to go through.
Leeds’ hopes were boosted when Stuart Dallas scored in the first half last night, but it all changed either side of half time, as Jack Marriott and Mason Mount found the net.
Derby miraculously went in front from the penalty spot thanks to Harry Wilson, and whilst Dallas brought Leeds level again shortly after, the game took another turn with Gaetano Berardi picking up a red card for Leeds.
Derby took full advantage, as Marriott beat Kiko Casilla again to send Derby through 4-3 on aggregate, and upset the odds with a victory at Elland Road.
After the game, Match of the Day host Gary Lineker took to Twitter to praise Derby boss Lampard, feeling that it’s no surprise to see him doing well with the Rams having worked with him previously.

Ex-Derby midfielder Robbie Savage branded both sides ‘incredible’ after a remarkable game, whilst also praising the ‘amazing’ Lampard for masterminded Derby’s win.
Meanwhile, BBC pundit Chris Sutton added his praise for both Lampard and Jody Morris, but admitted that he feels ‘sad’ for Leeds, claiming the Premier League is better for having Leeds in it.
