Liverpool smashed Watford to bits at Anfield tonight.

Gary Lineker has singled the ‘absolutely outstanding’ Trent Alexander-Arnold out for praise during Liverpool’s 5-0 demolition of Watford.
Sadio Mane’s brace and another from Divock Origi helped Liverpool into a commanding 3-0 lead, before a late double from Virgil van Dijk capped a five-star victory.
Mane and Van Dijk will get the headlines, but the Reds’ 20-year-old right-back certainly did his bit.
Alexander-Arnold was a constant thorn for left-back Adam Masina, and wound up setting up three of the hosts’ five goals.
Here is Lineker’s assessment:
The Reds’ academy gem now has six assists in the Premier League which, for a defender, is mightily impressive.
It now seems a two-horse race between Jurgen Klopp’s side and Manchester City for the title, after Tottenham’s defeat at Chelsea effectively ruled them out of contention.
The Merseysiders, who visit Everton on Sunday, are one point ahead of Pep Guardiola’s Sky Blues.
