Mesut Ozil played well for Arsenal against Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby at the weekend.

Tottenham Hotspur legend Gary Lineker has taken to social networking site Twitter to launch a strong defence of Arsenal attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil.
The former Tottenham striker was impressed with the performance of Ozil for Arsenal against Spurs at the weekend.
The Germany international was superb in the North London derby, as he helped the Gunners pick up all three points from the Premier League encounter courtesy of a 2-0 win at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Lineker has defended Ozil, who has often been criticised for not running enough during matches.
Former Manchester United and Everton defender Phil Neville has also praised the 29-year-old attacking midfielder for his performance against Spurs.
Ozil’s performance for Arsenal against Tottenham also impressed former Sheffield United and Birmingham City midfielder Curtis Woodhouse, but he has asked why the German does not produce this type of display week after week.
The former Real Madrid star has scored one goal and provided three assists in eight Premier League starts for Arsenal so far this season.
