Tottenham Hotspur have earned a hard fought point against West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns – in a game they will feel they deserved to win. That feeling will be especially potent based on the fantastic performance Spurs put in during the first-half.
But in the end it was a late goal from Dele Alli that earned them a point, after former Spurs player Nacer Chadli had looked to have given West Brom the win.

In reality, the reason why West Brom came away from the game with a point was the performance of goalkeeper Ben Foster.
He made a string of good saves throughout the game which kept Spurs at bay and the English international keeper deserved recognition for his performance.

He certainly got that from former Tottenham Hotspur striker and Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker.
He sent this amusing tweet at half-time, highlighting the brilliant performance of the West Brom stopper and the domination of Spurs:
In the end Tottenham were left feeling relieved to have picked up a point from a game which, beforehand, they would have wanted all three points.
That feeling would have been the same at half-time but Spurs will be pleased to just remain unbeaten in the Premier League.
