Gary Lineker might’ve accidentally just given Arsenal the kiss of life after a tweet about Mikel Arteta’s side and Tottenham Hotspur t his afternoon.
Arsenal fell to a 3-0 deficit inside 32 minutes of their trip to West Ham United.
Shortly after, here’s what Lineker tweeted about the Gunners and Tottenham Hotspur, who are also having a difficult Premier League season.
But the Match of the Day host perhaps tempted fate a little too much because, well, the North Londoners wound up drawing 3-3 away to the Hammers.
Arteta’s troops pulled one back before half-time and then scored two later on in the game – including an equaliser from Alexandre Lacazette – to mark a stunning comeback in East London.
This is a good result for Arsenal in the grand scheme of things, but Arteta will be absolutely fuming nonetheless.
Far too often this season have the Spaniard’s side started horrendously and finished brilliantly. Yes, it was a great response by the Emirates Stadium club but, really, they shouldn’t have given themselves such a mountain to climb.
